What kind of responsibilities do you have in your position? |
The role of President is to maximize potential and steer the club towards its various goals. My responsibilities as president include setting weekly general meeting and board meeting agendas, helping officers clear objectives throughout the board's term timeline, checking up on individual officers and committees, and encouraging general members to build their leadership skills. My goal is to set a clear vision for the term and help our board realize the same overarching vision as well as their own goals.

My personal favorite tenet is fellowship. I believe in a strong sense of community. I value meaningful friendships, and I believe that getting to know people on a personal level is just as important as the service we do. My fond memories of getting roasted by my CKI friends in the library basement or sharing emotional stories surrounded by hugs and love made me feel like this club was more than an organization, but a *cheesy* family. There's so many service clubs out there, but what makes this club different is our sense of emotional intimacy, of family.
